Chantal Gabriel is a YA-fantasy writer. She’s creatively inspired by monsters and anime, driving her to create stories filled with otherworldly creatures and of teenagers needing to find their inner courage to be their best self.Her latest animation credit is working as a production assistant on the anime influenced series, Skull Island. She was also a mentee in the Women in Animation Mentorship Program.She’s also worked as an adjunct professor of screenwriting at Miami Dade College and at the University of Miami.When she was a graduate student, she co-founded Duo Tales Studio with her sister. Their short films have circulated in national and international film festivals. Their animation short, “The Chase” was mentioned in Variety for winning Best Technical Achievement at the 2019 MFF Cinemaslam competition. Their latest project is "Waves From The Heart," a comic they plan to release on WEBTOON in 2025.Chantal received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English/creative writing from the University of Miami and went on to earn her Master's of Fine Arts in Film from the same institution.Her YA fantasy romance Webtoon Canvas comic, "Waves From The Heart" is set to release in 2025.She currently works as a video script writer for Catface.
